Dose assessment

Total radiation dose to workers through inhalation, ingestion and external exposure pathways is assessed in the following scenarios:

Where workers are exposed on a shift basis to radio-nuclides from existing or future mining or other operations.
Where workers are exposed on a shift basis to radio-nuclide containing materials e.g. in the manufacturing of phosphogypsum products or building materials.
Where workers are exposed on a shift basis to any NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material) e.g in public buildings.
